Perry White scheint plötzlich über Superkräfte zu verfügen. Er hilft den Stählernen bei einigen Aktionen bis er erfährt, daß es die Zigarren sind, die ihm die Kräfte schenken. Eine Gruppe ausserirdischer Kinder hatte sie ihm geschenkt, als Danke für eine vergangene Rettung durch Perry White. Nur noch eine Einzige ist übrig, die er im Tresor verwahrt.
