Verwirrt läuft Willi Fawcett durch die Strassen von Metropolis. Alles kommt ihm merkwürdig verändert vor. Als er einen Raubüberfall beobachtet verwandelt er sich in Käpt´n Thunder, doch irgendetwas hat ihn verändert. Der einstige Held hilft den Verbrechern. Ein Kampf gegen Superman ist unausweichlich. In seinem anderen Ich Willi Fawcett besucht er Clark Kent und erzählt seine Herkunft. Als sich der Junge wieder in Käpt´n Thunder verwandelt kommt es erneut zum Kampf mit dem Stählernen.
