Superman #203

Michael Turner's cover for Superman #203 says it all in one charged image: the Man of Steel rockets skyward fist-first, cape blazing, while an enormous roaring figure wreathed in fire and golden wings looms behind him, and a sharp-eyed woman with long silver hair watches from the left foreground as a cluster of figures gather below. Titled "Homecoming" on the cover and arriving as the sixth chapter of the "Godfall" arc, this May 2004 issue closes out a storyline that has clearly put Superman through the cosmic wringer. As a bonus, the issue includes a special six-page Jim Lee sketch book — making it a satisfying package for anyone following the series or admiring Turner's dynamic linework.
