In "Killer gibt's in jeder Größe - Teil 1: Seltsame Seuche," Superman teams up with Batman as a mysterious illness sweeps through Metropolis, linked to strange, human-like entities within a young girl named Amy. With the help of a kandorianic shrinking beam, Superman shrinks to microscopic size to battle the unseen threat inside Amy’s body, while Batman races to uncover the truth behind a series of victims kissed by the same girl. Written by Bob Haney and illustrated by Dick Dillin, with inks by John Calnan, this 1976 issue features a striking cover by Ernie Chua and Tex Blaisdell.

Batmans Ermittlungen ergeben, dass die menschenähnlichen Wesen in Amys Körper einen Bazillus bekämpfen und nicht Ursache der Krankheit sind. Er verfolgt das Mädchen, das alle Opfer geküsst hatte. Als sie im Kampf auf eine U-Bahn-Stomschiene fällt, nimmt sie für kurze Zeit ihre Mikrobenform an, ehe sie verbrennt. Superman verkleinert sich mit dem kandorianischen Schrumpfstrahl um Atom abzuhalten gegen die Wesen zu kämpfen. Kurz bevor Atom das tödliche Gift auf die Wesen werfen kann, beeinflusst Superman (inzwischen auch in Amys Körper) ihre Herzfunktionen und morst so Atom die Neuigkeiten.
