Supergirl #21

This July 1984 issue promises double the trouble, with the cover — by Eduardo Barreto and Bob Oksner — showing Superman and Supergirl side by side, both urgently bracing themselves as a massive pair of green, Kryptonite-tinged hands loom overhead and weapons are trained on them from either side. The cover copy makes the stakes clear: the Kryptonite Man is in pursuit, and as the corner banner cheekily reminds us, that's only half their problem. With Paul Kupperberg writing and Eduardo Barreto on interior art, "Curse of the Kryptonite-Man!" looks like a genuinely fun team-up chapter for fans of both Kryptonian cousins.
