Super-Homem: A Morte de Clark Kent #[nn]
This special April 1997 edition from Editora Abril collects the Brazilian translation of the 'Death of Clark Kent' storyline, a pivotal arc in Superman's history. It features the return of the villainous Conduit, who targets Clark Kent's past, and includes key issues from the American series that explore Superman's dual identity under threat.
In "A Morte de Clark Kent - Parte I," Conduit exposes his knowledge of Superman’s secret identity and kidnaps Jimmy Olsen, forcing Clark to confront a terrifying game of shadows. As the Kents prepare to vanish, Conduit turns his focus to Clark’s past, targeting Lana with a chilling threat—while Lois and the Rosses receive a cryptic gift that deepens the mystery. When Superman finally realizes the true target, he races to protect those he loves most, only to face a final, devastating choice that will change everything.
In "A Morte de Clark Kent - Parte II: O Ataque!", Superman is pushed to his limits as Conduits unleash robotic duplicates to torment him while he races to find the Kents. Facing despair when he believes the Kents are gone, Superman prepares to abandon his identity—only for something unexpected to emerge from the wreckage of the Conduit’s assault.
In "A Morte de Clark Kent - Parte III: Dor," Clark Kent grapples with crushing grief, believing Conduit has taken his parents and wife. Though he finds his family alive, the weight of loss and fear lingers as he fights to protect them, seeking peace in a life away from the spotlight. Meanwhile, Lois, very much alive, begins her own quiet search for her loved ones.
In "A Morte de Clark Kent - Parte IV: Onde Está o Super-Homem?", Shadowdragon strikes deep inside one of Conduit's bases, slipping through his defenses to corrupt the system from within. As Superman begins to rebuild his life away from the spotlight, a sudden crisis forces him back into the fray—only to be seized by Conduit and seemingly sent reeling back to Smallville, leaving his fate—and his whereabouts—utterly unknown.
In "A Morte de Clark Kent - Parte V: Linha de Chegada," Superman confronts the final remnants of Conduit’s deception, dismantling the false Smallville and shutting down the base beneath it. With the truth laid bare, he delivers Kenny Braverman’s remains to his father and finds a quiet, powerful moment of connection with his own parents.
In "A Morte de Clark Kent - Conclusão: Decisões Difíceis," Lois presses the Kents for answers, urging Superman to reconsider the life he's left behind as Clark Kent. As the weight of his dual identity presses in, Lex Luthor's sudden transfer from S.T.A.R. Labs sets a new course for the fragile balance between hero and man.
