Super Cracked #3
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join free"Batman Parody" in Super Cracked #3 (1989) delivers a delightfully absurd take on the Caped Crusader, drawn with sharp wit and bold lines by John Severin, who both pencils and inks the story. The issue’s cover, a vibrant and chaotic splash by Rick Altergott, captures the comic’s irreverent spirit, setting the tone for a send-up that’s as much about the medium as it is about the myth.
Jo and the crew of the Enterprising race to uncover the mystery of the rogue vessel Voyge hurtling toward Earth, only to find themselves caught in a bizarre twist of fate. With the crisis averted, they muse that their real audience might be back where it all began—on the small screen.
In "The Day Batguy Almost Went Bats!", the perpetually half-dressed hero hears a cry for help but can't quite finish suitin' up before the call fades—leaving him back at his paper, wondering if he missed his moment. A perfectly paced, deadpan gem of a gag that captures Batguy’s flustered heroics in just two pages.
In "Star Drek III: The Search for Spook," the crew of the Enterprising sets out on a wild, absurd mission to prove their late friend Spook isn’t truly gone—only to find themselves locked in a bizarre battle against the bizarrely named Klingfrees. With zero regard for logic and full throttle on parody, this 7-page satire blends sci-fi tropes with laugh-out-loud nonsense, all typeset with the crisp, chaotic charm of a classic Cracked issue.
