Suicide Squad #13

The title says it all — Justice League vs. Suicide Squad — and this May 1988 cover by Steve Leialoha and Al Gordon delivers the confrontation in full, with Batman swooping in from the upper left, a green-suited Guy Gardner throwing a punch from the right, and a dense tangle of heroes and villains — including a red-masked figure in crimson, a yellow-suited brawler center-stage, and Deadshot among others — all colliding in a chaotic melee. John Ostrander, Luke McDonnell, and Bob Lewis bring "Battle Lines" to life, and the cover makes clear that neither team is pulling its punches. If you've ever wanted to see two of DC's most compelling rosters go head-to-head, this one's hard to pass up.
