“Bernie the Brain's Biggest Blunder!”

Sheldon Mayer's cover for this September 1969 DC charmer says it all: a malfunctioning flying robot clutches the two toddler stars Sugar and Spike mid-air, its speech bubble optimistically insisting "ABSOLUTELY NOTHING CAN GO WRONG — go wrong — go wrong…" while the suburbs shrink dizzyingly below them. The cover teases "Bernie the Brain's Rambunctious Robot" as the mystery at hand, and that glorious "SWOOOSH" sound effect captures the delightful chaos perfectly. It's a wonderfully funny snapshot of Mayer's gentle, endlessly inventive humor at its best.
