Sugar & Spike #69

This March 1967 DC Special delivers pure delight as Sugar, Spike, and Little Arthur suit up as super-heroes in a novel-length adventure introducing Tornado-Tot! The cover by Sheldon Mayer says it all: a red-clad baby hero strains mightily at a pole while a full-sized green automobile floats overhead — passengers and all — as Sugar gleefully announces, "Let's find out if he's ticklish!" It's the kind of wonderfully absurd, big-hearted fun that made this series such a charming corner of the DC universe, and the bonus Valentine card-making feature makes this issue an especially sweet package.
