Sugar & Spike #66
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis "Summer Vacation Issue" finds Spike looking thoroughly skeptical on a sunny beach while Sugar grins and holds up a tiny fish, apparently promising to teach him some dance moves — a lesson Spike declares flatly impossible in two seconds. Behind them, a group of older kids cuts loose to music from a portable radio, making the contrast between their carefree grooving and Spike's stubborn scowl all the more delightful. Sheldon Mayer's warm, rubbery linework is in fine form here, and the promise of a "Giant Pin-Up Picture" alongside the story "Invisible Infants!" makes this a particularly fun 1966 package for fans of DC's beloved toddler duo.
