Strange Tales II #2

This delightful issue of Strange Tales II brings Marvel's superhero universe to the sunny beach in a way you won't soon forget — the cover by Xaime reimagines the Scarlet Witch, Sue Storm (sporting her Fantastic Four emblem), and the Wasp as confident beachgoers striding along the sand, with a colorful supporting cast including Loki and a top-hatted figure splashing in the surf behind them. Even a few familiar villainous faces peek out from the background and the sand itself, giving the whole scene a wonderfully playful, sardonic edge. Part two of three in this anthology series, the issue also features Nick Bertozzi's story "Let Loose the Watcherdogs of War!" — a 2011 Marvel Knights anthology that invited cartoonists to put their own spin on the House of Ideas.
