Strange #216
In "Pestilence!", Namor's desperate assault on Atlantis to rescue Marrina hits a wall as Attuma's forces hold firm. Meanwhile, Alpha Flight faces a terrifying threat as Pestilence, empowered by the stolen essence of Snowbird's child, unleashes ancient horrors upon the world. With the tide turning, Shaman dons the coronet of enchantment to become the new Talisman, confronting the summoned beasts—though Pestilence himself escapes, still carrying the soul of the child within him. Written by Bill Mantlo and illustrated by Dave Ross, with inks by Gerry Talaoc and colors by Bob Sharen, this 1987 issue features a cover by Alex Saviuk and Sam de la Rosa.

In "Les deux font la paire," Spidey’s search for Flash Thompson takes a wild turn when he’s pulled into a clash with Titania and the Absorbing Man, culminating in a tense standoff where the Absorbing Man threatens an airplane full of passengers—leaving Spidey to swing away, unimpressed.
In "Et la lumière fut !", the Living Laser returns—not as a man, but as a being of pure, unstable energy, driven by rage at Iron Man for stripping him of his humanity. Now a force of chaotic light and heat, he sets out to destroy the hero who once made him what he is, leaving a trail of scorched memories and shattered steel in his wake.
