Namor attacks Atlantis to free Marrina but is repulsed by Attuma's forces. Alpha Flight battles Pestilence who has absorbed the essence of Snowbird's child to power his evil. Things get worse when Pestilence calls the Great Beasts to his aid. Shaman puts on the coronet of enchantment and becomes the new Talisman to defeat the beasts and Pestilence, but their main quarry escapes with the soul of Snowbird's baby still a part of him.
