From DC's Milestone imprint in 1993, this third issue of Static puts the young electrokinetic hero right in the thick of it — the cover by John Paul Leon and Steve Mitchell shows Static in his distinctive blue-and-white costume squaring off against a hulking, monstrous opponent while a second menacing figure looms in the upper corner, electric energy crackling in the air around them. Titled "Road Kill!" on the cover and "Pounding the Pavement" inside, the issue promises a gritty street-level showdown that showcases exactly what makes Static such a compelling addition to the DC universe. With Robert L. Washington III and Dwayne McDuffie co-writing and John Paul Leon handling the interior art, this is Milestone storytelling firing on all cylinders.
