Starman #76

This moody, atmospheric cover by Andrew Robinson places Jack Knight front and center — leather jacket, goggles, and cosmic rod in hand — while two figures loom behind him in ghostly grayscale: a classic star-emblazoned hero with arms crossed and an older man in a suit and hat. That glowing star radiating behind Jack gives the whole composition a haunting, elegiac weight that perfectly suits the story's title, "Talking With David (and Ted)." James Robinson and Peter Snejbjerg's long-running DC series was consistently one of the most character-driven books of its era, and issue #76 looks to be no exception.
