The volume includes issues from the series' conclusion, wrapping up the character-driven saga that redefined the Golden Age hero for a modern audience.
In "Stars in My Eyes! [Framing Sequence]," Starman faces off against Captain Marvel in Opal City, stalling him long enough for James Barr to escape with his father to Fawcett City. Written by James Robinson and illustrated with striking detail by Tony Harris—whose dynamic cover pencils and inks define the issue’s bold aesthetic—this pivotal moment in the series blends tension and moral weight. As law enforcement and the O'Dares step in, Captain Marvel’s resolve wavers, and Starman prepares to follow Barr’s trail, setting the stage for a journey into deeper mystery.
