Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones #2

This second issue of Dark Horse's 2002 adaptation of Attack of the Clones features a richly painted cover by Tsuneo Sanda that captures the film's sweeping scope. A determined Obi-Wan Kenobi dominates the foreground, blue lightsaber raised, while a hooded figure looms at his side and a blaster-wielding armored figure — alongside alien creatures and spacecraft — fills the dynamic background. With George Lucas, Henry Gilroy, and Jonathan Hales on script duty and Jan Duursema providing interior art, this is a handsome piece of early-2000s Star Wars comics storytelling.
