Star Wars #26

Marvel's Star Wars series continued its post-film adventures in August 1979 with issue #26, "Doom Mission!" — and the cover by Carmine Infantino and Bob Wiacek immediately conveys the urgency. Luke Skywalker scrambles across an alien landscape, his expression one of alarm, while a smoking, toppled R2-D2 lies at his feet and shadowy figures lurk in the background beneath a looming green planet.
