Star Wars #25
Princess Leia and a rebel companion blaze away at swarming TIE fighters above Yavin in this tense 1979 Marvel issue, with explosions erupting across the orange sky while a small inset panel places Luke Skywalker — lightsaber in hand — at the top corner. The cover tagline says it all: "Luke and Leia Trapped by an Imperial Blockade!" — a premise rendered with real urgency by penciler Carmine Infantino and inker Bob Wiacek. Writer Archie Goodwin was reliably sharp with these expanded-universe adventures, and "Siege at Yavin!" looks like a worthy showcase for his storytelling alongside Infantino's dynamic linework.
