Star Wars #15
Marvel's Star Wars was already proving in 1978 that there was plenty of galaxy left to explore beyond the film, and issue #15 makes that promise vivid. The cover by Carmine Infantino and Terry Austin puts Han Solo in a desperate, zero-gravity showdown across the hull of a massive spacecraft, trading blasts with the helmeted Crimson Jack while a swirl of colorful combatants fills the star-field around them — with a small inset of Luke Skywalker lightsaber-ready in the corner for good measure. Titled "Star Duel!", this one delivers exactly the kinetic space-opera energy the tagline "Beyond the Movie! Beyond the Galaxy!" set out to promise.
