“Who Is... Enigma?”

Two figures in Starfleet red uniforms each insist "I'm Jim Kirk!" while a phaser is leveled between them — and the cover's bold warning, "Choose wrong… and it's WAR!" makes clear the stakes couldn't be higher. Tom Sutton and Sal Amendola deliver a tense, close-cropped composition that turns a simple question of identity into something genuinely unsettling. Mike W. Barr and Tom Sutton were clearly having a lot of fun with this July 1984 DC run, and issue #6 shows exactly why.
