Star Trek #51
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeSaavik takes center stage on this August 1993 issue of DC's Star Trek, depicted in striking purple-and-silver combat gear, phaser raised in one hand and a spiked weapon in the other, set against a vast alien world and a star-filled sky. The cover copy says it all — she's deep in Romulan space, hunting down a traitor — and the tension in her stance, framed by otherworldly architecture rising from rocky terrain, makes the premise immediately compelling. Cover art by penciler Rod Whigham and inker Carlos Garzón gives the scene real energy, and with writer Dan Mishkin and artists Deryl Skelton and Steve Carr handling the interior, "Renegade" looks like a sharp showcase for one of Trek's most intriguing characters.
