Star Trek #16

A blue-skinned alien figure dominates the foreground of this July 1985 DC issue, hunched over a console surrounded by ominous labels — "TRANSMISSION: FEDERATION SECRET," a "RESTRICTED" data card, and a "PRESS" credential — while monitor screens above display the faces of what appear to be an older human and Spock. Tom Sutton's pencils, inked here by Klaus Janson, give the cover a tense, espionage-thriller atmosphere that suits the "Homecoming" chapter title perfectly. Mike W. Barr's ongoing "New Frontiers" saga looks to be deepening its intrigue, and this issue makes a compelling case for picking it up.
