“Last Battle of the Dinosaur Age!”

In "Last Battle of the Dinosaur Age!", two frogmen, Charlie and Larry, find themselves stranded on a mysterious island teeming with prehistoric life after their sub is attacked by a giant eel and seized by a dinosaur. With only their wits and weapons, they fight through swarms of dinosaurs, narrowly escape a stampede triggered by beach mines, and face off against a flying predator—only to be rescued by a PBY as the island's final threat is vanquished. Written by Robert Kanigher and illustrated with dynamic energy by Ross Andru and Mike Esposito, this thrilling adventure from 1960 sees the duo confront the last echoes of a forgotten age. The cover, also by Andru and Esposito, captures the moment of aerial rescue in bold, dramatic detail.

Continuing from issue #90... Charlie and Larry's rescue sub is attacked by a giant eel. As frogmen, they blast it, but the sub puts into "X Island" for repairs. They recon the island, but a dinosaur carries off the sub. They're stranded. They battle many dinosaurs and race ahead of a dinosaur stampede that gets destroyed by mines on the beach. A PBY swoops to rescue them as they blast a flying dinosaur. "The last battle of the dinosaur age was won by a 20th century rocket!" "Hope that's the last we've seen of the dinosaurs!"
