“Mekano existe !”

In "Mekano existe!", the kingdom of Crystallium stands at a crossroads when Zardeth's prophecy fractures the bond between princes Crystar and Moltar. As each brother is transformed by elemental forces—Crystar into a warrior of living crystal, Moltar into a being forged in lava—their followers are reshaped too, igniting a conflict that will define their realm. Written by Mary Jo Duffy and illustrated by Bret Blevins, with inks by Vince Colletta and colors by Andy Yanchus, this 1984 issue features a striking cover by Jean-Yves Mitton.

Zardeth delivers a prophecy to the kingdom of Crystallium, which leads to a split between the princes Crystar and Moltar. To save Cystar from a deadly injury, the wizard Ogeode sends him into the Prisma-Crystal, where he emerges as a warrior of crystal. To save Moltar from the magical crystal rain, Zardeth sends him into underground lava, where he emerges as a man of hardened lava. With their followers transformed the same, the two begin the ongoing battle for the right to rule the kingdom.
