The penultimate-act tension of this five-part crossover is written all over Arthur Suydam's cover, where a chainsaw-wielding Ash Williams braces himself against the side of a building as a decayed, undead Spider-Man lunges at him from above — tattered costume, exposed skeleton, and all. It's a genuinely striking image that captures the scrappy, horror-comedy heart of this Marvel/Dynamite collaboration, with Ash looking equal parts determined and outmatched. John Layman and Fabiano Neves deliver the story inside, and if the cover is any indication, issue three of Marvel Zombies vs. Army of Darkness keeps the mayhem cranked up right where it needs to be.
