In "American Son Part 1," Spider-Man finds himself trapped and tormented by Norman Osborn, who has turned his son Harry into the American Son and plans to expose Spidey’s identity by slowly dissolving his mask. Written by Joe Kelly and illustrated by Paulo Siqueira and Marco Checchetto, with inks by Siqueira, Checchetto, and Amilton Santos, colors by Jeromy Cox and Chris Chuckry, and letters by VC's Chris Eliopoulos, the issue’s cover by Phil Jimenez and Andy Lanning captures the moment of high tension.
