Spider-Man #2
In "Dood spoor [deel 3]", Peter Parker faces a new kind of reckoning when the Vulture abducts him from the hospital, revealing a painful motive behind their past clash—his grandson’s medical bills. With Black Cat stepping in at a critical moment, the fight takes a sharp turn, leading to a tense handover to the Owl, who’s far from pleased with the Vulture’s recent missteps. Meanwhile, a single photo of a masked, bandaged Spider-Man—captured by a curious orderly—lands on the Daily Bugle’s desk, sparking a familiar kind of chaos. Written by Mark Millar and brought to life with dynamic art by Terry Dodson and Rachel Dodson, with coloring by Avalon and Ian Hannin, and a striking cover by the Dodsons, this issue blends emotional stakes with high-octane action.

Vulture rips Peter from his hospital room and during the ensuing fight, explains that the money Spidey lost him last issue was to pay for the treatment of his dying grandson. Black Cat intervenes and helps take Vulture down. The old bird is then turned over to the Owl who takes a very dim view of his being robbed blind by Electro and the Vulture. An orderly with a camera delivers a picture of a maskless but bandaged Spidey to the Daily Bugle offices, much to Jonah's delight.
