Spider-Gwen #29

Part of Marvel Legacy's "Gwenom" arc, this 2018 installment delivers one of the run's most striking covers: a massive, dark symbiote-merged Spider-Gwen looms overhead, her white-spiked hood and writhing red tendrils consuming nearly the entire image, while a lone red-clad figure clutching a sword stands small and resolute at her feet. The contrast between that tiny, grounded figure and the overwhelming symbiote form above creates a genuinely unsettling sense of scale and dread. Robbi Rodriguez and Rico Renzi are at the top of their game here, making this issue hard to pass by on the shelf.
