A massive, chain-bound figure hunches in anguish on a stone floor, his enormous muscular frame battered and restrained while a pair of glowing green eyes watch from the shadows of a heavy iron door behind him — it's a cover that radiates dread and captivity in equal measure. Greg Capullo's pencils and Todd McFarlane's inks deliver a striking study in vulnerability and menace for this December 1996 issue, titled "Kahn."
