Spawn #57 arrives in January 1997 with a ferociously kinetic cover by penciler Greg Capullo and inker Todd McFarlane, depicting Spawn locked in a savage, close-quarters struggle with a massive, fang-filled creature — chains, claws, and Spawn's billowing red cape all tangled in the chaos. The creature's enormous jaws and grotesque, armored bulk fill nearly the entire frame, making the confrontation feel genuinely overwhelming in scale. Titled "The Beast," this issue promises exactly the kind of dark, visceral storytelling that made Image's hellborn antihero one of the defining figures of 1990s comics.
