“Shelter Me”

In "Shelter Me," Randy Queen crafts a tense, atmospheric chapter of Darkchylde as Ariel’s nightmares manifest into terrifying forms—War and Pieces—during Ullman’s relentless experiments at the Sentry Compound. With Perry and Jack imprisoned for protesting, the nightmare creatures break in, freeing Ariel and her allies only to lead them straight into Kauldron’s grasp. Randy Queen’s writing and artwork, with Jason Gorder’s inks and Jimmy Yu’s colors, bring a haunting, visceral energy to this pivotal issue, all rendered with a distinctive, moody precision.

Ullman continues to run experiments on Ariel at the Sentry Compound, causing her to have nightmares and forcing her to transform into monsters.
