Spawn #225 arrives in November 2012 with a striking, unsettling close-up that puts the hellspawn's masked face and billowing crimson-and-purple cape front and center — blood dripping from the mask in a detail that's equal parts haunting and arresting. Todd McFarlane, penciling and inking the cover himself, brings his signature fluid, organic linework to every rippling fold of that enormous cape. The bold "Obama Wins!" election banner across the top makes this one of the more memorably time-stamped issues in the long-running Image series.
