Space Ghost Vol. 2 #2 marks the first appearance of Eclipse Woman in the Dynamite Entertainment continuity — a deep-cut villain who originated in the short-lived 1981 Saturday-morning anthology Space Stars and had virtually no comic-book presence in the decades since. Space Ghost Vol. 2 launched in August 2025, a deliberate fresh-start relaunch after Dynamite CEO Nick Barrucci concluded that a new #1 was the best mechanism to grow readership following thirteen issues (including the 2025 Annual) of what the company called 'Season One.' Writer David Pepose and artist Jonathan Lau — the same creative team that built the first volume — returned without interruption, with Andrew Dalhouse on colors and Taylor Esposito on letters, treating the relaunch as a seamless continuation of the ongoing saga rather than a true restart. The series operates under license from Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, placing it within Dynamite's expanding slate of Hanna-Barbera adaptations that by fall 2025 also included *The Blue Falcon & Dynomutt*, *The Herculoids*, and *Thundarr the Barbarian*.
