“Seagoing Vessels, Number 19: Life on a "Windjammer"”

In "Seagoing Vessels, Number 19: Life on a 'Windjammer'," the Space Family Robinson land on a planet that looks like Earth—only to discover it's a deceptive illusion created by mysterious, plant-like trogs that drain visitors' strength. With help from the stranded giant Ptor-Liom, the family fights back, using their shuttle and space station to lift him to safety, where he's reunited with his kind. Written by Don R. Christensen and illustrated by Dan Spiegle, with a cover by George Wilson, this 1963 Western Comics adventure blends wonder and peril in a planet-hopping tale that’s both inventive and heartfelt.

The Robinsons joyfully land on a planet they think is Earth, but find that they've been tricked by an illusion mist. Vegetable-like trogs trap visitors and drain off their strength. Joining forces with the marooned giant Ptor-Liom, the Robinsons fight free, but the trogs paralyze Ptor-Liom. The Robinsons use their shuttle and their space station to carry him aloft. He's rescued by others of his own kind, and the Robinsons resume their weary way home.
