“River of Fire”

In "River of Fire," Bill Judd, a new resident of the Moon, joins his geology class on a space-suited field trip when a sudden silence cuts through the comms—Luna City has taken over all voice circuits. As the class moves forward, Bill notices Ann Silva has vanished, and with time slipping away, he retraces his steps. Spotting her trapped in a crevice with a failing suit, he leaps to her aid, leading to a tense, breathless rescue. The issue’s stark, suspenseful pacing and vivid lunar setting make for a gripping, character-driven moment in the Space Family Robinson series, with typeset lettering adding to its authentic 1981 feel.
