During the American Revolution, Daniel Boone was captured by Indians who adopted him into their tribe as a skilled hunter, but strictly rationed his ammunition to prevent escape. Realizing the Indians were planning a devastating raid on Boonesborough, Boone devised a clever scheme to accumulate enough powder and bullets to reach safety and warn the settlement. Five days later, he arrived in Boonesborough and saved the town from massacre.
In this charming 1940 adventure, a clumsy burglar stumbles into Red’s home only to find himself thwarted by the Geni, who guards a magical marble with surprising flair. When Red learns the burglar’s motives, she surprises everyone by having the Geni craft a cozy country house for his family—offering a second chance instead of punishment.
