Showcase '93 #9

Issue nine of DC's twelve-part 1993 anthology brings the Huntress front and center in a tense, action-charged cover by Howard Chaykin — she's poised in her purple costume, crossbow leveled and expression fierce, as gunfire erupts behind her and an armored figure looms in the background. Alongside Huntress, the cover also spotlights Peacemaker and Shining Knight as featured characters in this month's collection of stories, including the Huntress chapter titled "Survival." With interior work from the creative team of Doug Moench, Bill Willingham, Terry Austin, Tom McCraw, and Ken Bruzenak, this is a solid showcase of early-'90s DC storytelling at its most kinetic.
