When Hart's men arrive at the bank, they find Sheriff Spade waiting and a gunfight erupts. "Try a Trap" is a prose story about Dr. John W. Anderson, a distinguished man on horseback, who encounters Apache rider Brave One and others while traveling through Arizona territory, becoming drawn into a situation involving Pop Kiney's rumored gold and mysterious strangers in the area.
