About this Collection

This collection gathers Gene Luen Yang's complete run on Shang-Chi, bringing the Master of Kung Fu into a new era of Marvel storytelling. The volume follows Shang-Chi as he grapples with his father Zheng Zu's legacy while facing threats from the Five Weapons Society and cosmic menaces like Dormammu, alongside allies such as the Fantastic Four and Spider-Man. Yang's run redefines Shang-Chi's place in the Marvel Universe, blending martial arts action with family drama and supernatural stakes.

In "Brothers & Sisters," Gene Luen Yang and Dike Ruan deliver a gripping chapter where Shang-Chi’s long-standing conflict with his brother Takeshi reaches a shocking turning point. With the Avengers and Mr. Fantastic closing in, Shang-Chi’s fight against Thor reveals a truth hidden in plain sight—the Ten-Fist Sword is no mere weapon, but the Cosmic Cube in disguise. Cover by Jim Cheung captures the intensity of the moment, as loyalty, legacy, and identity collide.

Still believing that Shang-Chi has stolen a Cosmic Cube, the Avengers and Mr. Fantastic confront him one more time. During the battle, Shang-Chi unexpectedly finds himself to be an even match for Thor, which leads to the discovery that the Ten-Fist Sword is really the disguised Cosmic Cube.
