Warren goes a bit further off the deep end and starts imagining he is seeing Alice. He wanders around his home town and finds himself back at his old neighborhood. A neighborhood that has long since fallen into ruin. He wanders his old haunts that have turned to dangerous places to be alone. Two thugs attempt to mug him and the Shadow comes out to protect him and to convince him to take up the undesirable ways of his youth. As Warren is wandering he is saved from walking in front of a truck by Louis, a friendly coffee vendor. Shen confronts the Shadow and tries to destroy it.
