Shadowhawk #0 (1994) kicks off with the vigilante recruited by Mars Gunther to infiltrate Castle Brunich in Austria, where Dr. Orpheus is developing a dangerous mutagenic AIDS fluid. After destroying the experiment, Shadowhawk is left with a cryptic mission: track down the missing Orpheus, who may hold the key to a cure—though Gunther keeps that truth just out of reach. Written by Rob Liefeld and Robert Napton, with art by Liefeld and Karl Altstaetter, and a cover by Rob Liefeld, this issue sets a tense, high-stakes tone with a mystery that stretches beyond the immediate threat.
