There, he confronts both his past and a familiar threat—Hawk's Shadow—while facing Chapel, who's also seeking answers within the facility’s walls. Written and illustrated by Jim Valentino, with art by Walter McDaniel, inks by Jason Gorder, and colors by Gloria Vasquez and Clydene Nee, this 1994 Image Comics issue features a cover by Walter McDaniel and Danny Miki.

Guided by the disembodied voice of Phoebe, Shadowhawk begins his quest to find a cure for the AIDS virus that is killing him. His first stop, Project Born Again where he encounters Chapel also trying to gain entrance. Unfortunately, the complex is being guarded by Shadowhawk's old nemesis, Hawk's Shadow.
