John Severin's cover for "Burn, Bridge, Burn!" puts you right in the thick of it — Fury himself hits the dirt in the foreground, rifle in hand, as explosions erupt behind him and a Nazi aircraft swoops low overhead while his Howling Commandos scramble through the chaos. The raw, ground-level perspective gives the whole scene an urgent, visceral energy that defined Marvel's war titles in 1969. Marvel even teases "the most shell-shocked surprise ending you'll ever read," making this issue hard to pass up for any fan of classic combat comics.
