“This World Is Mine!”

In "This World Is Mine!", the Beyonder, now under the sway of mob boss Vinnie Corbo, ascends from organized crime to global domination—first claiming the Kingpin’s empire, then the United States, and finally the entire planet. But as absolute power brings no true fulfillment, he ultimately releases his grip on the world, seeking deeper meaning. When Avengers Mansion proves empty, he turns to Daredevil for guidance. Written by Jim Shooter and illustrated by Al Milgrom, with inks by Steve Leialoha, colors by Christie Scheele, and letters by Joe Rosen, this pivotal issue features a cover by Al Milgrom and Steve Leialoha.

The Beyonder falls under the influence of mob boss and pimp Vinnie Corbo. He does well in the mob life until Vinnie tells him there is nothing more that he can teach him and encourages the Beyonder to reach his full potential. The Beyonder does so, first taking over the Kingpin's operations, then the U.S and then the entire world. Realizing that worship without free will does not give him satisfaction, the Beyonder releases the world from his control. When he visits Avengers mansion and is told by Jarvis that the heroes are unavailable, he decides to seek out Daredevil for help.
