In "Assault on Galactus!", the X-Men join forces with a scattered alliance of heroes in a desperate bid to stop Galactus from devouring Battleworld. As tensions rise and the heroes push their limits, Spider-Man adjusts to his new black suit, while Dr. Doom secretly rescues Klaw and moves closer to revealing his ultimate scheme. With energy failing and the world ship under siege, Galactus begins to feed on his own vessel in a final, desperate act.

In "Quicksand!", Iceman is thrust into a surreal confrontation with Oblivion, a being that threatens to erase him from existence. Forced to journey through time, he seeks out his long-lost daughter, Mirage—disguised as a young woman named Marge Smith—only to face her resistance and the weight of a fractured past.
