Secret Avengers #8

Part three of "Eyes of the Dragon" arrives with a cover by Mike Deodato Jr. that packs in a striking array of threats: a stern soldier leveling an oversized firearm, a robed figure in an insectoid mask standing ominously at center, a hulking blue-furred beast, a serpentine creature writhing among skulls, and a chaotic firefight erupting in the background. Ed Brubaker's espionage-flavored Avengers saga clearly isn't short on danger, and Deodato's dense, shadowy composition makes every element feel genuinely menacing. If the first two chapters pulled you in, this one's cover promises the tension is only escalating.
