The whole Mystery Inc. gang is swept up in what looks like a lively Mardi Gras parade on Joe Staton's cover — Scooby and Velma push to the foreground while Shaggy, Daphne, Freddie, and a trumpet-playing reveler crowd a festive float behind them, with gas-lit buildings and colorful decorations setting an unmistakably New Orleans mood. The story title "Scooby-Voodoo-Krewe" hints at some spooky bayou-flavored mystery waiting inside, written by Terrance Griep Jr. with art by Bob Smith and colors by Trish Mulvihill. At $1.95, this 1998 DC/Cartoon Network issue is a cheerful, atmospheric treat for fans of the gang's more regionally-flavored adventures.
