In "The Keepers of the Crypt," Conan stumbles upon the ruined city of Lanjau, where he battles a monstrous lizard and teams up with a nameless mercenary to claim its lost treasure. Together, they face the undead keepers of the crypt—defeated only by sunlight—before an earthquake buries the city and its riches. As Conan reaches a nearby village, he reunites with Jenna, only to flee with her on horseback when soldiers arrive to arrest him. Written by Roy Thomas and Robert E. Howard, with art by Barry Smith and inks by Tom Sutton and Palmer, this 1975 Marvel UK issue features a cover by Barry Windsor-Smith and John Romita, with inks by Sal Buscema and John Romita.
